How to get to Sneakers Street from Hong Kong Airport
If you are on a layover in Hong Kong International Airport and wish to take a shopping trip to stock up on special sports shoes, then a trip to Sneakers Street is in order! However unfortunately the trip from Chep Lap Kok to Fa Yuen Street is long and not that easy. The best solution when in a hurry is to take a taxi which will take less than 40 minutes under good road conditions.
Otherwise for public transport consider these options.
Train
There are two options for trains. The regular commuter MTR train, and then the express train.
Take the super fast modern Airport Express train, which stops inside the airport building itself at the arrivals level, as far as the Tsing Yi stop, that's one stop.
Change to the Tung Chung Line towards Central and take that 1 stop to Lai King MTR station. Change again this time to the Tsuen Wan Line still towards central, and alight when you reach the Mongkok MTR station. From there follow the instructions for MTR above.
To save costs you can take the regular MTR train, but you need to take a bus from the airport to the nearby Tung Chung MTR station.
Bus
Consider also the airport bus, either A21 or E21. Both leave from the airport and take similar routes, but the A21 is an express and takes only 6 stops to reach Nelson Street Mong Kok which is the closest stop. The E21 takes 23 stops to take you to Sai Yeung Choi Street, where you should alight and walk forward to the corner of Fife Street.
At Fife Street turn left and walk two blocks which will take you into Sneakers Street/Fa Yuen Street near the northern end. The bus fare for the E21 is only HK$14, while the A21 is $33 per person.
